Hi Nat my brother in law took the challenge last year and lost 8kgs so I decided to give it ago!
I have a heart problem so limits my exercising abilities and have put on 7kgs since my defibrillater surgery Xmas 2010. Eating crap and feeling down about things. And also being a single mum of 2 kids whose dad wasn't in the picture left little to no time for me.
But I snapped enough is enough I want a change I want to loose weight and be healthy even if it takes longer than the average person!!
I love this challenge and working along side Stu, my sister and my cousin also doing the challenge is great support! We post all our food on Facebook albums to encourage each other. Personally I have lost 2.6kgs to date and really proud of myself and know it will be a lifestyle change not just a 50day challenge.
Thanks for all your support too Nat, it's really important to have the coach there and Facebook page is a great communication tool. Nic W

I have always been a fairly average weight but have always had a tyre aound my tummy and hips that i assumed was just my body shape that I couldn't do anything about it!
The reason i decided to do this challenge is because my cousin Stuart did NoSugarvember last year and lost 8kg, Stu doesnt eat any fruit or vegetables and managed to complete the challenge so i figured if he could do it then i definitely could. I hadn't heard about the Challenge until day 1 and thats when I saw that He, his wife Al, my brother Michael and two of my other cousins were doing the challenge as well so i decided to jump on the bandwagon and do it with them !
In the first few days I was so thirsty and drank rediculous amounts of water, not really sure why this is !
On day 4 i had a mild headache but other than that I can not believe how good I feel, I have so much energy all day and sleep so well at night, I often wake up before my alarm which is so unusual for me. I had never considered doing a challenge like this because I didn't think i had much self control when it came to food but I have surprised myself, I dont even want a chocolate or any sweet thing, my partner paul is a sugar addict and he has been eating donuts and chocolates around me and I would much prefer my Natural yogurt with berries! I have discovered so many new healthy food options that I Love, I find it hard to pick just one thing to have for Lunch.
The only cravings I have had are coke Zero, before the challenge I would have about 1 can a day and I never really thought much about it, I am really shocked how addicted I was to coke Zero. not sure if its the caffeine or sugar or something else in it but these cravings are pretty much gone now !
The best thing about this Challenge is that my cousins Nic, Al and Holly are also doing the challenge and we upload photos of what we are eating each day into a private album, this gives us ideas and makes it a lot of fun. we had a yogurt challenge to see which natural yogurt was the best, we have decided that jalna Greek yogurt and Harris Farm natural yogurt are the winners ! I also love how supportive everyone is on the forum, everyone is encouraging and happy to share ideas or help out if we get stuck!
My scales are pretty terrible so haven't really been weighing myself as it wouldnt be accurate and I dont really trust scales anyway as muscle weighs more, I do regret not getting out a tape measure and measuring what I was as I have definitely lost a few cm from my waistline tyre, I had to buy smaller pants on the weekend and could'nt been happier.
When the challenge is over I dont think I will go back to eating how I used to ! I feel too good without sugar! Laura M
